Saint Peter\u2019s University Announces Open Auditions for <\/b>Into the Woods<\/i><\/b><\/h4>\n

Saint Peter\u2019s University invites students and members of the Saint Peter\u2019s community interested in participating in the upcoming production of <\/span>Into the Woods<\/span><\/i> by Stephen Sondheim to attend open auditions at the Roy Irving Theatre this December.<\/span><\/p>\n

Auditions will take place on the following dates:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Tuesday, December 1:<\/b> 2\u20134 p.m.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Wednesday, December 2:<\/b> 2\u20135 p.m.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Thursday, December 3:<\/b> 4\u20136 p.m.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Anyone interested in auditioning or participating in the production is encouraged to attend.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Those auditioning should prepare and memorize 16\u201332 bars of a song from a contemporary musical, preferably in the style of Sondheim, but not from <\/span>Into the Woods<\/span><\/i>. Participants should also prepare a memorized monologue lasting one minute or less that showcases their dramatic abilities.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Speaking roles that do not require singing are also available. Assistance with selecting or coaching an audition song is available upon request.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Production Dates<\/b><\/h3>\n

    The production is scheduled for the following performances:<\/span><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Friday, April 30:<\/b> 7 p.m.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Saturday, May 1:<\/b> 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Sunday, May 2:<\/b> 1:30 p.m.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
