About Professor Kral
Georgia Kral teaches communication and journalism courses at Saint Peter’s University. She also serves as the Director of Student Media and is the Faculty Advisor for the student-run newspaper The Saint Peter’s Tribune and WSPR, the campus radio station. Prof. Kral received her advisor certification from the College Media Association (CMA) in 2016 and is currently the president elect of CMA.
Kral has been a professional reporter and editor for 20 years. She is a contributing writer at New Jersey Monthly Magazine and her work has appeared in publications including The New York Times, Esquire, Eater, Dow Jones, amNew York, Slate, Travel & Leisure and Food & Wine. She has a bachelor’s degree from Hampshire College and a Master’s Degree from the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism.
Professor Kral lives in Montclair with her husband, the reporter Andrew J. Hawkins, and their two children.
